Entries belonging to the thread "The Visible and Invisible by Merleau-Ponty"

Some ruminations and notes regarding Maurice Merleau-Ponty’s posthumously published The Visible and Invisible. I share these notes for the potential benefit of those also interested in Merleau-Ponty’s work in phenomenology and ontology. Still, these posts are only snippets of my thinking: they are not refined writing pieces; most if not all of them I wrote for the sake of my own comprehension.

Readers should be aware that although I write assertively, every remark I make is tentative: I may write remarks I am not fully committed to, or express interpretations I am not confident in. This is because writing assertively to get to the point and declare my current thoughts helps clarify my thinking. Indeed, you may notice that across these posts my vocabulary and corresponding understanding shifts.

A final note: the publishing date does not reflect the date in which those notes were initially written. Some of these notes were published long months after their initial writing, while others were published soon after their writing.
